Pat Martino, jazz guitarist, 77, respiratory disease.

Martino had a brain aneurism and surgery when he was 40 and lost most of his memory. He had to re-learn guitar as he forgot that he was already an established jazz star with 12 of his own albums out and at least another 30 he'd played as a sideman.

Graeme Edge, a drummer and co-founder of The Moody Blues, has died. He was 80.
