Just uploaded Strava onto phone . Impressed with it . 6.8 mile walk with dog this morning . 8 mile ride on bike last night . Keeps telling me i can try and beat other peoples times over certain sections of the ride, interesting .

I was most impressed with Strava when Irina from Russia wanted to send me photos of her and her girlfriends. Apparently all were keen to meet me.

Since I got a garmin watch and started to use the app I haven't had any such interesting offers.

No scales this week.  Having a week off.

With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

This is why I'm investing in Decathlon's own-brand GPS.

Hot French content.

Welcome back to a coupe of old faces.

*Tim2 I've had to do some guesswork on your figures

Getting my excuses in....last week I had the scales on the bedroom carpet, when they were moved back into the bathroom onto the tiled floor my weight went up by half a kilo

As ever any additions I will put in today or tomorrow, otherwise see you next week.

Also...Asimov, did you not consider gravity on Terminus when writing your seminal "Foundation" series? The radius of Terminus is described as 4,000 Km which my rudimentary maths skills (v=4/3πr3 ) suggests a volume of 25% that of earth and as gravity is related to mass**... need I go on?

**simplified so I can understand it. I am not Sheldon

According to Mr Fitbit, I used 9000 Kcals on Wednesday and 8000 yesterday.  I think it might be overestimating, but ate more just in case!

?

I realise you're carrying a bit more mass around than I am, but running a marathon only comes in at around 3300 kcal for me. So I assume you've been doing something to get Mr. Fitbit excited even if he hasn't got his numbers exactly right?

Yes I have been wandering.  12 miles (35,000 steps) on Wednesday and 14 miles (37,000 steps) yesterday.  Relatively hilly too so the heart rate was elevated for hours.

A nice couple of days on the South West Coast path.  Should of been a third day today but it was monumentally grim outside!

I went to the gym today.

72.1 please Shadow.

I watched some of the Leeds v Gravesend wheelchair rugby whilst I was there.

Gravesend scored 4 successive tries. Some lovely moves and back play, they were leading 36 - 10 when I had to go.

Edit.

Final score was 114 -14. (It was Gravesend not Hull as I originally posted).

Three consecutive weeks with two runs. No land speed or distance records remotely under threat but that feels good.

And, all being well, there will be a third for this week tomorrow with the Hastings Race for Life 10k in Alexandra Park.

Used the cross trainer this morning and set the calorie achieved setting to 1500 calories instead of using the typical distance achieved or the defined time period settings.

It took me 30 seconds to both realise this was a bad idea and that i really have no idea about how many calories are burnt.

1500 calories burnt later I staggered out of the gym.

Well done! A huge undertaking!

Those calories sound a little over-stated but well done on your 2days of exercise

I did Ben Nevis yesterday. My watch (Suunto Ambit Peak) measured about 31,000 steps, 9.96 miles and 1004 calories

More calories than 1004 were consumed through beer in the Ben Nevis Inn afterwards, and there were nearly as many ignorant 3peaks (tw##s) walkers as calories on the mountain yesterday. Cracking views.
