That's great. 1:52 is still my best but that's when I did it at the start of my exercise, something I've not tried since.

It was after a few days of rest.

Today, I did thirty minutes on the heavy bag (then 30 minutes yoga), so I imagine my push ups will be weak this evening.

On the subject of which...

Week 5, day 3:

20-20-24-24-20-20-22-57

Last week, my final set was 55, which was after a few days rest. I am really pleased with that and slightly surprised.

Half an hour on the boxing bag today.

Feeling pretty good. No alcohol on Satuday helps.

End of week 4 exhaustion test 68.

Sweet Lord! I am not doing an exhaution test until tomorrow and I very much doubt it will be 68. You have given me something to aim for though

Glad to be of help. The 100 target still feels a long way away though. This week is my first one when the sets go up to 8 and the gap drops be interesting to see how that changes things.

End of week 2 exhaustion test = 22

Seriously? Over three times as many as a few weeks ago? That is dramatic progress

I underperformed in the first test, and over performed today... ?

A bit better technique and trying to make everyone the same helps!

With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

Sure, technique will improve, self-belief will play a factor too.

But, let's not downplay from 7 to 22.

Pushups week 6 day 1: 40, 50, 25, 25, 50+ (52 actual) that was with 15 minutes between and 4th and 5th sets.  Hardest yet, not eating well at the weekend really caught up, not eating well as in not eating enough than the opposite.

81.5kg - lockdown fat is piling up. I have to cut back next week once the "good stuff" has run out (chocolate, bacon, cheese, cake).

I did run 5 miles last night though without entirely dying, so that's a bonus.

Exhausion test, 61 push ups.

Now on to Week 6, having only just scrapped into the hardest column. I suspect Week 6 will take a few weeks.
