Kiss my face you mothers!

About 15 years ago i wanted to row 2k under 7 minutes  After many many many injuries and time on the erg (including a marathon) and years off i have finally completed my goal.

Ashford 10k on Sunday. It's meant to be a soggy one.

I am getting my excuses in early and will blame the rain, whether it arrives or not, for my slow time.

Bad news, some teenagers are getting the better of me in boxing. The good news is they are going on to have winning records.

Had the honeymoon, but trying to get back into shape.

Ashford 10k. Done.

Chip time of 53:58 and a “gun” time of 54:44. I will very much take that.

143.5... I have stalled slightly...

With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

Been crocked since September 5th, not the best prep for the 5K on October 20th but will still run what I can and walk the rest.  Having to up the painkiller usage killed any appetite I had so I'm now down to 170.5 lbs.

5517m in 25 minutes on the rower so 2:15/500m. Still not maximal, just gradually getting better. Had a bit of an easing off period in the weights, just building a base for the months to come. Programme is worth the money so far!

Just a reminder whilst im about bottles of champagne deep...

I did 2k in under 7 mins.

1st row back wasnt that bad. 10*20 secs with 2 mins rest. Managed to hit 1:19 pace which was mega surprising.

Weight: 118. Gulp

An enforcer week off after a DNF at Snowdon 50 ultra last week. Slipped and pulled my left groin coming over Tryfan, then fell on a rock on Snowdon and bruised the outside of my foot. Got to 30 miles into the race before calling it a day

My first ever 5K this morning in perfect weather on the Toronto lakeshore.  Walked all but the last 500m that I ran in (wasn’t going over the line walking!) in 42:18.

Target to beat for next year then 😀

Amended.

I blame the RFU, I spent a lot of the weekend watching Rugby eating snacks drinking tea which is why I put on half a kilo.

I have taken up MMA as I have very little sense of dignity.

Boxing is the better workout, but the MMA is giving a stretch to my hips and legs that would otherwise be neglected. The downside is that if I cannot rely on boxing of rugby tackles, it is very undignfied. I am also old enough that the women often partner with me as I am clearly harmless. I am not sure how I feel about that.
