Hit a 220kg trap bar deadlift at 80kg bodyweight today. That's also up 20kg in the last 8 weeks so pleased with that! Can't wait to see what the remaining 4 months of pre-season bring.

I've also not had a drink in 6 weeks which is generally doing great things for my health and fitness too!

167lbs this week, down 1.2 on last week, 62.8lbs overall.

Was at the pool on Monday night, there was a snowstorm so not many folk had made it there, had a lane to myself and a fast guy on my inside.  Chasing that ###### I got 40 lengths done in just under 30 minutes!  Best yet and 15 minutes less for the same distance than when I started back 6 months ago.  Been focusing on getting back running but perhaps I should change tack and focus more on the pool instead.

If you have issues with your joints, swimming feels like a great option to get your cardio in without having to take as much impact.

Never used to like it to be honest, it was the aquatic version of a treadmill and made me feel like a hamster 😂 or at least a vole of some description.

It's certainly better all round exercise, easier and more flowing on the spine and the leg that doesn't work too well.  Definitely not as clumsy as being on land!  Cheers 👍

From the 5th 145.8
From the 14th 145.5

With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

164.7lbs this week, down 64.9lbs from start point.  Get the new brace fitted next Wednesday, looking forward to the changes this will bring.

I worked out today that I haven't missed a session since 30th September. That's 2 speed, 2 conditioning and 4 gym sessions a week. Half of the battle is just showing up consistently.

You're dead to me.

And also, it sound like, possibly dead to yourself.

I can barely even look at you.

Did a bit of parkrun marshalling yesterday so got to yell at people to get their harrises into gear. I do enjoy a bit of marshalling.

Back up to 167.7 lbs after the scarily rapid drop to 161 last week.  Picked up the new brace last week too so have been giving that a run out.  Sort of reminds me of going between leather and plastic mountaineering boots many moons ago, no give at all! LOL  Totally munched my foot running longer distances but nothing tape and (stupid) bloody-mindedness can't solve.  In for some tweaks tomorrow.

Upshot though, on the previous equipment my best was 800m in one shot, yesterday I hit 1,500m and it was horrible fitness which stopped me at that point, not pain or spine issues!  Well pleased at the moment, certainly bodes well for the future.
