Moose
Only 5 walks this week not the usual 6 but still managed to cover a respectable 31 miles. Weight same as last week at 10st 7lbs. I didn't retire from work until I was 70 and was that weight then, but since retirement I gradually put on weight up to 11st 10lbs. I decided to cut out alcohol and keep a close eye on what I ate and in 6 months I'm back down to my fighting weight and feeling great. I think the most important change was the alcohol abstinence, from being a 4 or 5 bottles of wine a week person to zero intake has not only helped me reduce weight but has also helped my overall fitness and general well being. I've also saved a few quid☺ which being a Yorkshireman is the most important thing.

Bedford Roughyed
NHS Health check today (free for the over 40's). No real surprises, except I'm shorter than I thought. Blood pressure is high, cholesterol is iffy, BMI massive but cardiovascular risk score is in the low bracket. Full Blood tests tomorrow which will probably give me diabetes too! nadera78
Boxing this morning, and then my first ever vinyasa yoga session tonight. Full of women and hippies, the yoga not the boxing, but it was actually a nice way to wind the day down. 1 "Just as we had been Cathars, we were treizistes, men apart." hindle xiii
My new ISC rugby shirt is XXL and is much too small, my last ISC rugby shirt was 4XL. However I assumed it would be too small so I'm using it as a target to fit in it. (I also bought an Under Armour XXL football shirt and it is a little snug but stretchy, the difference in sizes between manufacturers is marked.) Damien
That's the cardio gym done. Still keeping up training at least every other day with decent walks when I can on rest days. Past experience shows once you miss a few consecutive days then it's hard to get going.

I think that's very true. I also find it easier to decide in advance what you are going to do as it takes the thinking about it away and you just automatically do it, for instance I know now that next week I am going to the gym Mon/Wed/Fri morning so I will just get up have breakfast and go. 1 100% League 0% Union Just because I don't know doesn't mean I don't understand
