just out of interest, who is in charge of keeping the time during the match, and do they blow the hooter ?.

i.e. does the referee stop the timer or clock during the match

i.e.. is the Electronic Clock the actual game time.?

Should expect the clock is controlled  by John Miller, the clock being part of the scoreboard. Cannot think that the clock on the scoreboard is anything to do with the official timekeeper.

thanks Ernie1 , I just checked yes, I never noticed before the timekeeper is part of the team with the ref and linesmen ?.

it cropped up because apparently at the Barrow v Sheffield yesterday the game  ended with 2 mins to go on the electric Scoreboard.....I said I thought the electric clock was not the official time....
