Mitch Garbutt scores another, I think Hull FC should have maybe had a punt on him, sounds like he's going great guns at Rervers.

22-6.

Pellisier enters the field and immediately pole axes Will Dagger.

On for less than ten seconds but now in the bin.

with what money, we had to release Watts last year because of cap space (don't believe the BS about the spat/discipline!), Radford/Pearson clearly thought having four cheap squad players/no marques were the way to solve the problem ...

Not only is he a poor player (too much dancing around at the ruck instead of making an immediate  decision to pass or run) but he's also decidedly stupid.

KR will be pleased, think they've got a decent side and will test a few of the bigger names and get some wins at home against them so for London to lose is no disgrace at all. This is very much a tough deal for London, the side coming up that wasn't a SL side has everything against them to succeed.

IF London do go down then it's going to kybosh RL in the capital somewhat so I really hope that they can stay up, squad depth is going to be a massive factor as the season goes on for them.

You have said this before about Watts been released for cap space.

So if you really think that's the case then I have a few points/questions.

1. Watts had already played in that season. If we were over cap, the damage was already done.

2. Why Watts? If we did indeed need to unload a decent earner because of the cap, why choose arguably our best forward. One who is in his prime and still has plenty of good years ahead of him? Why not someone older or less important?

3. How were we able to bring in Westerman (who won't be on peanuts) mid season if we were cutting it so fine with the cap?

The old Bronco problem -not playing the full 80 minutes, in the Championship you can afford to clock off for 20 minutes , and they often did, in Super League you will be punished severely for doing so.

Based the radio commentary I heard, the Broncos had their chances which were not taken due to lack of composure and it has to be said a lack of quality.

London were the better side in the first half.

Danny Ward has them playing some very good rugby, they moved the ball well and looked very pleasing on the eye. They were stretching our defence regularly and with better outside backs they would have scored more points. Enjoyed their style of play a lot more than watching our own half the time.

Coach obviously give Rovers a rocket at half time as they came out in the second half fired up and put the game to bed very quickly, then clocked off again. Very worrying really and can see nothing more than a place with the lower mid table teams battling it out for nothing.

The fact Watts was our best forward along with Taylor and had a sell on value whilst within his contract makes him the prime target to let go, there's obviously some bad business going on between Watts and Radford and tag was going nowhere.

Who would pay money for say Minichello/Manu mid season, no-one, it had to be someone on enough to allow the club to get under the cap and be able to fill the space with a cheaper player and for the club to get some money back.. Westerman is ok but no other SL would have taken him barring London ... maybe.

We took him because he was free and  last half season he was on a LOT less than what Watts was, if you think their salaries are/were comparable then I think you're massively mistaken. IF the rumours about what has happened with Goldthorpe and some players losing a lot of money would make the odd retaining of certain players even more explainable. You also forget Westerman is now resigned under the increased cap for this season and yet we still can't sign anyone other than bit part squad players and untested like Ratu who costs £0000 on the salary cap this year as you would know for someone who has not played RL before.
