SATURDAY 2nd MARCH
London Skolars 10 v 42 Newcastle Thunder KO 3pm

SUNDAY 3rd MARCH
Doncaster 24 v 26 Workington Town KO 3pm
Hunslet 42 v 6 West Wales Raiders KO 3pm
Keighley Cougars 24 v 20 Coventry Bears KO 3pm
North Wales Crusaders 12 v 28 Oldham KO 3pm

Complete guesses with this league at the moment but I think Newcastle haven't lived up to their potential but will be ready to blow away a London Skolars side who only just beat West Wales. Donny v Workington could be very close. Hunslet will beat West Wales but it's a question of if the Welsh side can keep it down to another respectable score. I see Coventry pushing Keighley close but their winning run coming to an end. Straightforward win for Oldham but without putting on a massive score.

I look forward to seeing how wrong I am.

John, you’ve got the crusaders Oldham game as a 3.00 kick off. It’s 2.30

I few changes to the Thunder squad for Saturday against Skolars including new signing Carne Doyle Manga who only arrived in the UK on Wednesday and our first 3 dual regs from Wakefield.

Three big additions there from Wakefield and you’d expect Keal Carlile, Misi Talaupapa and Liam Finn to have too much for Skolars.

Expect? Understatement of the year so far. If they don’t beat Skolars by fifty then heads must roll.

Given they’ve lost to Coventry with some of those names mentioned above playing, it’s not exactly a given.

Think the added influence from Wakefield will be key.

Not sure what to expect from Cougars but do expect Bears to come away with all the points.

Think the momentum will carry us through this one.

That seems a bit suspicious.Probably just coincidence.

The head coach in place when the dual reg agreement is reached doesn't have access to the players.

Head coach sacked and then the players are made/become available.

I don't know if Wakefield will want the 3 players cup-tied,so Thunder will attempt to have 4 new players gel in a side which hasn't

quite worked hitherto, and then perhaps go with a different side in the CCC v West Wales Raiders next week.

I just hope West Wales Raiders continue to improve this week, and next.

It was the former coach who apparently helped  persuade Liam Finn to sign for them

Their new head coach has improved their defence a great deal. They’ve lost their first two games against their fellow development sides so will obviously find it very tough these next few months. I’d be astonished if they won a game this season but they will keep the scoreboard below three figures I reckon.

Absolutely.New personnel in the spine of the side and a whole new mindset and organisation.

I hope and expect things to get better as the season progresses.

Difficult 3 games coming up.All away from home so an even better team spirit after hours together on the coach,I would hope.

I much prefer baby steps and solid foundations.

It's also nice 2 have a sensible, cool, calm and collected owner,a non-stop CEO with boundless energy and commitment to the next generation of rugby league players, and a head coach committed to the cause.

Honesty and hard work!  Rare - but good for the future.

I may have been born a bit too early.Still,if I'm there for the 1st win...

12-10 to Skolars at half time

Is the axe being sharpened yet? :D
