Richard Horne is looking for a response from his side when they take on Workington Town in Betfred League One this weekend.

After defeat to Hunslet last time out, the head coach says it’s important that the Dons stick to their game plan at the Keepmoat Stadium.

He said: “We’re going to have to be good, they have some players who will cause us problems if they get close to our line.

“You can’t get caught up in emotion and the way that other teams want to play, if we stick to our game plan then we won’t be far off.

“They’ve recruited well and have some good experience in the squad, Danny Tickle and Sam Hopkins will go well for them.”

After a quick start last weekend, Horne believes the Dons will have to be good with the ball to come away with a victory.

He added: “We know that we will have to be good with the ball and not coughing up possession easily if we’re going to win the game.

“Penalties were an issue for us last weekend, we gave away 13 and you can’t be doing that if you’re going to have a chance.

"We want good home form and to put things right from last week, hopefully we can come away with the two points.”
