What has Lenegan got on Hunwicks then?

Seems a strange ground to stand that would subsequently go on to be the deal breaker in signing the coach he wanted.

I’m not sure and I would imagine that it wasn’t the only reason but it’s something that came to light shortly afterwards.

Why would anyone listen to a word he says?

He's shown himself to be totally untrustworthy

Actually if as he says he asked Wigan several times for a contract then they sent it and it was materially different to what had been agreed verbally, I’d walk too.

Do you not think he would be welcomed in Wigan? The coach saga didn't leave him looking good but he is a local lad who is a playing legend at the club.

It is a genuine question.  I am from Wigan but I don't live there and so I don't know what the feeling on the ground is.

I'm a Wigan fan. Don't live there either. But I feel sure he's burnt his boats. If it's a choice between a Lenagan version or an Edwards #rugbyvalues version, I'd take Lenagan side

He wanted Richard Hunwicks in, who’s head of performance (strength and conditioning) at Catalans but Lenegan wouldn’t

Looking at Calalans and the shape of their players, with their frequent rocks and diamond matches, I can fully understand Lenegan's reluctance at appointing their head of performance.

Edwards was in no position to demand Wigan employ anyone or don't release anyone, he was not employed by them.

The issue is the contract and why one was not on the table to be signed or was one on the table and wasn't signed.

Similar if not identical piece in today's Times.

He says he's going to relocate his family to Canet en Roussillon

He is popular in his local, it seems: Connolly's in Chiswick.

He should try a pub , any pub in Wigan if he wants a warm welcome.

Will they put the heating on?

the feeling i get from wiganers is he needs to stfu and never set foot in town again.

From a wiganer living in wigan, surrounded by wigan fans, I couldn't have put it better myself.

I wonder how many different excuses Edwards is going to come up with before he is finished with this.

Most Wiganers just wish he would shut the F*** up, and go away.

I was at the Skolars game last year, and during the meal beforehand he was glad handing all and sundry, and from what he was saying didn't seem to be suffering from any of the crisis of conscience that he seems to have developed since.

Just shut up and go away Shaun, most of us are sick of listening.
