Guess it's subjective, but genuinely struggling to see how Jouffret is even close to anyone's top 3.

and to think we let patch walker go for Jouffret...

Diskin's team now..

good grief ?

I actually think that Jouffret has talent. However, it's becoming increasingly apparent that he isn't anywhere near good enough to be the fulcrum of a team playing at this level.

Ditching Walker was a huge mistake. Essentially, we let a player of enormous experience and class leave on the basis that Jouffret looked pretty good against Barrow and an unpaid, demoralised Leigh team.

Did you "ditch" him or was the money at Sheffield better? Despite the undoubted kudos of playing for Batley it could be possible that players have other motivations.

I fail to see that the money he would have been offered by Sheffield would have been greater than that offered by Batley, if the coach wanted to keep him at Batley.  If, however, he was looking to "persuade" him to seek pastures new then no doubt the terms offered would have reflected this.

If you're not wanted and you're out of contract what is a player expected to do BSJ?

Absolutely. I don't blame the player for one minute but there can come a time when the club's valuation of a player's worth is exceeded by another club with more money. I don't think that Batley, or any similar club, is able to spend their way out of a problem.
