Dons News Posted April 1, 2019 Share Posted April 1, 2019 Richard Horne felt the Dons did enough to get the job done after beating Featherstone Lions 46-6 in the Coral Challenge Cup fourth round. Horne’s side scored five unanswered second-half tries to seal their progression, and the head coach says getting into the hat for the next round was the most important thing. He said: “It was a tough game for us, they played with some really good energy and probably had a higher completion rate than us. “We had a few players playing in different positions, they all slotted in fairly well and got the result in the end. “We got the result and that is all that matters in a cup competition, we’ll look forward to the draw and see who we get.” Hooker Kieran Cross scored a hat-trick at the LD Nutrition, and Horne was impressed with his all-round performance. He added: “Crossy probably hasn’t started the season as well as he would have liked, but he showed what he’s capable of with some nice tries. “His running from dummy-half and the pace he showed was good, his defence was also solid at the other end of the pitch.” View the full article Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
