So another drain on the game's finances who seems to have averaged 10 games a year in the NRL.

Clubs willing to pay out wages for that but not £50k p.a. for a reserves team to develop their own talent?

Breathtaking.

All clubs have overseas players, they add a lot to Super League and are limited in number.

Castleford didn’t have a reserve side before this signing and still don’t have a reserve side after this signing. It’s a completely separate issue and not linked to overseas players, however popular it is to blame foreigners for everything nowadays.

Assuming he and his family settles and he doesn't join the Cas casualties list injury wise he will go well.  Peak age and I wouldn't use his status in one of the best squads in the world as a measure of his super league potential.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him take the left centre spot with Shenny moving to the right (although the thought of him and Mcmeeken lining up next to each other in attack is interesting).

Adds some size to our back and makes us look a lot more balanced.

A line up of Matuiti, Minkin, Shenton, Blair, Eden, Rankin, Trueman, Watts, Mcshane, Millington, Mcmeeken, JSL, Massey

Looks competitive and infintely better than the 'square pegs in round holes'  teams that have struggled in recent weeks (especially with a bench chosen from Cook, Clark, Moors, Smith, Milner, Holmes, Foster, Clarkson to add to the 13).

Some overdue positive news.

Ethan Ryan (Bradford) and Thomas Minns also rumoured to be joining to replace Gill and Egodu to add some better back up options.  JSL rumoured to be heading back to Oz is a slight concern.

Overall we look in a far better place than we did at 10pm Thursday that's for sure.

why wouldn't him and his family settle? Melbourne is very similar to Castleford in many ways, the grass he will be playing on will still be green for a start and then theres ……...well...…..erm , cant actually think of anything at the min but am sure there is.

see you later undertaker - in a while necrophile

He may of been 5th choice centre at Melbourne but he'll definitely be 1st or 2nd choice centre for cas, hes an improvement on the starting 13 with is all the fans have been asking for.

A back line of

Mata’utia

Minikin

Blair

Shenton

Eden

Certainly stronger than what we've been playing with so far this season.

COME ON THE CORN

CLASSY CAS 4EVA

Go Go Go York City Knights!

He had a bad injury in 2017, which saw him miss much of the season. Curtis Scott took his place and he has struggled to get much game time since. Think he has played around 5 times since with Origin, injury, Suspensions to Chambers or Scott. But the likes of Justin Olam, Jahrome Hughes, Scott Drinkwater, Marius Seve have more recently been chosen over him to play at centre. He has been mainly been playing Queensland Cup with Easts (One of the Storms feeder teams). I guess it helps the Storm free up more Salary Cash, just like Kasiano going has.

Very average player that is/was at best 5th choice Centre at Melbourne. Next to no chance of playing first grade. Hope Cas are not paying top wages.

Careful, the negativity police will report you.

Not likely to be living in Cas is he, they don’t still bicycle straight from pit do they.

Mainly positive comments from Storm fans on their Facebook page - always a good sign.

Hang on a minute - Leonard is the only one we should be listening to surely?

Now then, it's a race between Sandie....and Fairburn....and the little man is in........yeees he's in.

I, just like those Castleford supporters felt that the ball should have gone to David Plange but he put the bit betwen his teeth...and it was a try

Kevin Ward - best player I have ever seen

The real Mick Gledhill is what you see on here, a Bradford fan ........, but deep down knows that Bradford are just not good enough to challenge the likes of Leeds & St Helens.
