Completely juvenile but still funny after all these years.

Thirty years and a month since the first broadcast of The Mary Whitehouse Experience, back when it was on Radio 1.

Far too many to have a favourite but this is one of them, i nearly did myself an injury laughing at this...

Stand up Stewart Lee IMO is easily my favourite his ‘controversial’ take down of Top Gear is pretty much perfection

and as for Sit Coms

Fawlty Towers, the Hotel Inspectors and communication problems are pretty much 2 perfect 30minutes of comedy.

Seinfeld bar a few duff episodes is absolutely sublime

Stewart Lee is a very funny man, i managed to get him to sign one of his gig posters that i took off one of the walls. My fave Stewart Lee clip is the story of the death of Princess Diana-The English Rose BOO HOO. He also has a very good taste in music, The Nightingales, Yo La Tengo, Sonic Youth, Darren Hayman.

In Bed with Medinner was a bit hit and miss, and this is essentially funny because an internet troll has been given TV airtime. But back in the '90s, before I understood any of that, watching this one Friday night was possibly the hardest I'd ever laughed.

Makes feel old.

A whole lot of comedians from outside the main cast made their names on the show too, thanks to the guest spot.

Not a big Jim Carrey fan, but first time I saw this I nearly fell off my chair with laughing so much.

Jam Eater  1.(noun. jam eeter) A Resident of Whitehaven or Workington. Offensive.  It is now a term of abuse that both towns of West Cumbria use for each other especially at Workington/Whitehaven rugby league derby matches.

For me one of the funniest lines in the Goodies, was their title for s sex education manual they were writing for Mary Whitehouse. It was called "How to make babies by doing naughty things"  It always cracks me up.

“Few thought him even a starter. There were many who thought themselves smarter. But he ended PM, CH and OM. An Earl and a Knight of the Garter.”

For me Pheonix Nights was utterly hysterical from start to finish with layer upon layer of comedy, this sketch seems to stick in my mind, that and the gun slingers !

For some mental block reason, Phoenix Nights passed me by for many episodes. I kept meaning to watch it, but kept missing it. My first experience of the show was switching over in time to see Dave Spikey singing about binbags to the tune of Will Smith's Men in Black. That did the trick! ?
