On this weeks Rugby League Back Chat....

Are clubs really giving coaches time to prove themselves as several are shown the door?

Are attendance numbers a figment of someone’s imagination? We know someone who says they are.

And do you remember when clubs had reserve grade teams? Well... they may once again.

Rugby League World editor Matt Shaw hosts the discussion with Wakefied Trinity CEO Michael Carter, Leigh Centurions owner Derek Beaumont and player agent Dave Peet.

Watch Rugby League Back Chat this Thursday 2nd May at 5pm on Freesports TV.

Check the Freesports website for full schedule and details on how to receive the channel.

Back Chat will also be available on YouTube and via TotalRL.com from 9.30am each Saturday following its original TV broadcast.

I see we have a players agent on this week. I really don't know why Rugby League players in this country need agents.

Surely a player of even low intelligence is capable of negotiating a decent wage from a club and negotiating sponsorship deals without giving an agent a percentage of it.

Not sure why we bother sometimes.

With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

Beaumont talks a fair bit of sense in that, to be fair.

And not just the bit about attendance figures essentially being works of fiction, corroborated by the honourable Michael Carter :kolobok_ph34r:

Talks sense? Both of them admitted that they had never been to Toronto.
