Sammut hasn't had much game time at Wigan. He'd be an ideal no 7.

He said he wouldn't go to any other cumbrian team except town

Great player and boy do town miss him

he also said he wanted to be released form his London contract to return back home to Aus, then signs for Wigan! I wouldn't believe anything he says!

The reason he wanted to be released from his London contract was so that he could be closer to his young family

Correct, didn't want to go back Aus. He was set to sign for Bradford until Wigan came calling.

That's basically what Andy Ackers did to London - wanted to be nearer to Wigan and signs for Toronto! London must be extremely gullible to fall for it a second time!

Bit like when Ian Dowie was manager of Crystal Palace - asked to be released so he could go back to his family in the north and became manager of Charlton - I suppose it was north of the river. Also Robbie Savage left Birmingham to be near his parents in Wrexham and joined Blackburn - exactly 1 mile nearer Wrexham.

So, it's not just Rugby players

What's all this got to do with Hock being released.

He's not in our squad for Wednesday. Perhaps there was a 'gentleman's agreement' that he wouldn't play against you??

No room for him with Saints wanting some game time for the duel reg players ?

He is just another human being - why so much bitterness?

Sport, amongst other things, is a dream-world offering escape from harsh reality and the disturbing prospect of change.

He never showed up at the ground,or at away games.rumour round town he was injured before the boxing .it is just a rumour though.we could have got a few players in early doors and that would have made a big difference i reckon.we are not bitter just twisted bsj.

Understandable but shouldn't you be critical of whoever signed him rather than the player himself, or was he beating on the doors pleading to get in?
