Well firstly conceding 40+ points against anyone in that league is plain awful! I would be bombing Moi Moi, Tickle and Hopkins off as paying big money for traveling fowards is stupid because you’d get 5 solid amateur fowards to fill the pack with. Spend the money on 2 quality centres and halfback.

You’d get more than 5 and they wouldn’t be amateurs.

Are some of the teams in this division just better than we believed they were?

Is it not possible that they have improved somewhat?

Without a doubt but when one team improves and the other declines this is the result.

Maybe if they’d done a full pre-season or trained as much as some of the amateur teams do then the team may be fitter and may be able to defend.

Hopefully the new coach can address the latter.

Having a small squad is causing problems, short term fix is a couple of loans or why not sign some amateurs who if not selected can play for there own club? Make it clear to them before signing them, it's almost a season long trial, if good enough the amateur gets a contrat, if not... Thanks.... Could have 3/4 'reserves' if done right who still get regular rugby

Not this old rubbish again?  Are you really suggesting that you aren't allowed an opinion on a fans forum unless you've played or been involved in club management?  By the way I think you mean "definitely". ( Not related to the "Mouse"are you?)

no relation he/she has a double "n"

It seems the previous coach has more blame than first met the eye. Talking to a player this week who said there was no coaching from Leon, just confidence undermining. 'if you play like that again your finished.' etc. No wonder half the team the BOD assembled went down the road.

At least he is silent on the matter unlike the lad who got ditched with him.

Cant see it being a fitness problem. Moimoi, tickle etc done 70 or 80 minutes last week with only 14 men. And won! Matt Johnson has been praised several tines as bring super league level strength and conditioning coach.

I think the travellers are getting an unfair kicking because of the weaknesses on the edges. We have a championship level pack. And a backline of a amateur side. No balance to the squad. But if we've been struggling to get numbers training, it doesnt allow to work on defensive structures.

Some bad signings for sure but am I the only one who thinks the players have lost the desire to win? Last season there was so much passion in the team but this season they look tired, unfit and that their glad when the 80 minutes is up. This doesn't apply to all players but every one on the pitch needs to play well for each other for us to win.

It's always been a problem getting local and traveling lads to train all together on the same nights, maybe worth a try once a week train in Lancashire or South lakes so nearer to travel for Furness an Lancashire lads, all you need is to hire a pitch??

One of the most ludacris posts ever. Lads know the commitment when they sign. They know where workington is.

You can’t condition someone that isn’t there.

And the 80 mins was through necessity. You’re lucky to get 8 carries a game out of some of them under normal circumstances.

Yeh he's been very unprofessional so makes you wonder how he acted when in the role.

Then is it not an attitude/effort problem. Rather than a fitness one? If they've proved they can do longer stints?

Any player can do 80 minutes, it’s the level that their fitness will allow them to play at a certain level that is what’s in question.

I can understand why a player wouldn’t want to train, it’s hard enough as it is when ur fully fit.

By allowing people to pick and choose when they train creates resentment and division and is demotivating to some people and a coach should know better.

Should have signed Ethan Kelly instead of Moi Moi

Well it looks now like the play offs is our only option for promotion which could be a big problem for us as we are always short of numbers at the end of the season as everyone knows.

Players playing out of position is not helping us or them and I would not knock any of our travellers and cannot understand anyone doubting the effort or commitment of Moi Moi as the guy loves playing for us and lifts the Supporters when he comes on.

At the end of the day Pryce has gone and its another chapter of the club that will be talked about for years to come, thankfully he has gone and the club can try and push on from  this.
