Mark Roskell was one of the best hookers I've seen. Troubled by back injuries which blighted his career unfortunately. We've been blessed with some great 9's over the years starting with Alan Banks and on through Phil McKenzie , Mick Jenkins ( poached by Gateshead) , Matty and the sublime Limmer.

As good as it is to look back at the good old days whats everyones thoughts on tonorrow?

I think its gonna be close but think we will out score them in a high scoring game, maybe about 38-32?

We will give you a good game for 70 mins then Penky will win you the game late on , as he always does.  A pity 2 of our main strike players are out in Ashton and Dean  as id be confident but no Wilkes for you levels it out, hope the weather is fine.

Skolars top of the league ?

Gives me hope. Shows just how competitive this league is and that we're not that far off if we could just sort out a few problem areas.

Hope you are right about the result. We have struggled for a few weeks with injuries and our DR back up hasn't fulfilled it's promise when we have ran with a small squad. Hopefully got a few more square pegs in square holes and home advantage will see us home. Should be a good game though. Safe journey up for all the Huns fans.

Town 30-24 with our usual nail biting finish of gifting possession away up to the hooter. UTT.

The race is not always to the swift nor the battle to the strong, but thats the way to bet!

Good luck today’s boys. All I ask is you give 100% and wear the shirt with pride. Here’s hoping for the 2pts to kick start the season again.

Well that was hard to watch but fair play to the lads. They dug in and ground out a result and only conceded a break away try. Big raps to stevie thought he was awesome, but also big shout out to Lancaster and Bolton who defended for their lives and tried their hearts out. Not pretty but good to get a win.

Time to move on

Defo Gilly, but he has had his chances on numerous occasions, just hope the lad can sort himself out.

With what has gone on over the last few weeks you have got to give the team a big wraps.  and Chris radio interview was very good, truthful and right to the point, think he will do the club ok in the end.
