Slightly surreal to say the London/Haven tie is a top of the table clash but there you go. Do London have it in them to win? Yes. Will they? My heart says yes but head no.

For rest I’m plumping for Oldham, NWC, Dons and Newcastle wins.

I was impressed with Coventry, despite defeat, at Oldham on Sunday. Not seen Crusaders yet this season. They seem to be a bit "hit and miss"? They are capable of winning at Coventry but will have to be on top form if Coventry play like they did, particularly second half, at Oldham. Good luck Crusaders.

Bears v Crusaders should be close.  Bears form has generally been reported as good win or lose this season.  A Bears win will open a gap on teams below.  Good luck Cov.

I'm looking forward to a cracking game between Bears and Crusaders this weekend. I counted as many as 5 ex Bears in the Crusaders line up last weekend so it's sure to be hard fought!

The mens game is actually part of a double header with Army RL women playing Wigan Warriors women in a challenge cup game (KO. 5pm). Am really looking forward to that too.

Crazy that Skolars have a negative points difference despite being joint top of the league. Shows just how close and hard fought some of their wins have been.

Keighley 12 - 24 Oldham

Whitehaven 28 - 12 London S

Coventry 18 -16 North Wales

Doncaster 62 - 4 West Wales

Newcastle 32 - 12 Hunslet

New signing Joel Edwards in the Thunder squad for he first time for the game against Hunslet along with Mikey Lewis, a 17 year old half back who's arrived on an initial months loan from Hull KR. Plus Misi Taulapapa back after his 4 match suspension. Looking a strong squad right now.

Joel will become a fans favourite

Actually met him with one of my sons at a Thunder Kids festival before the Keighley game last Sunday. He was going around having pictures taken with all the teams whilst they weren't playing and doing a bit of a QA with them all, seems a really nice lad plus heard nothing but good things about him as a player, York fans seem disappointed that they didn't resign him.

All home wins......

Except Coventry Bears!  It will be another nail biting edge of the seat game no doubt! If we play like we did at Doncaster we'll win. If we play like we did against Haven we won't.

Its a crazy season - everyone wants out of League 1 this year before Ottowa arrive. We have 6 away and 6 home games left and we need to win the vast majority to stand any chance of getting into a position to get out of the League. Fingers crossed.

I like Crusaders and you’ve got some cracking players but you are a million miles away from even thinking about promotion. You’ll be doing well to finish above Coventry.
