Barroooww
Was a shocking tackle tbf and everyone saying “it wasn’t bad” are quite clearly blind.
Michael Ashton
I've still got the game on record. The referee never did anything. No penalty card or report. There are also 2 other officials on the field. Were the cases reported by Mark Aston. If so I'm sure he's done it before. If not I apologize. Fishmonger
Both warranted automatic reds. The consequence is that two Sheffield players are out for the rest of the season.

Michael Ashton
Interesting article in League Express concerning Mark Aston' Ninja tackles by Charnock & Smith (never heard of Ninja tackles). Apparently Glover could be out for a year and Jones for the season. Aston none to pleased. The tackles happened in the 1st minute & 22nd minute. The disciplinery hearing will be tomorrow. Spoke to jono yesterday he said he's looking at 3-5 games and will appeal. I honestly thought there was nothing malicious in Jonos tackle
millomite
Agree. There was nothing in Jonos from what I saw on TV. Just the way the tackle happened
red square
I agree. It was just a case of an unfortunate collision. Having reviewed it several times I can see nothing that Jono did that could be seen as malicious or not taking enough care. The injured player was also twisting and turning which affected the outcome.

Grade – D you got to understand they make it up as they go along bussey got banned when he was laid on his back with opponent on top of him charged with headbutt

If it had happened to a Barrow player in the same circumstances I would expect the same... Wonder if the bash hadnt been broadcast so you could see all of the awful angles as oppose to the one fixed cam at most games if it would have been 8 games? From one angle it looks more innocuous. - By no means vindicating it of defending it. Does the club stick or twist? Dalimore Carter (currently injured - and on loan) and Johnstone. Or go and get someone for the last 12 games? With Star Ameans injury that sounds to me another one out for 8 games too.... Anyway I wont detract from the title of the thread. - Fair decision on both fronts
Bring back GB
The side played most of last season with Dalli and Ryan at 6 and 7 and it seemed to work well. Massive blow if Star is out for a while as he is a potent attacking weapon for us.
