Just Browny
Definitely worth watching the little video. I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly. dkw
Watching all the clips on social media etc for the LDSL really is incredibly uplifting, the sheer joy on the faces on those taking part is brilliant, as well as the look of accomplishment from the organisers etc. Well done to every single person involved in this. EssexRL
Totally brilliant - both the physical & learning disabilities. I’m hoping something can be created in London
Cheshire Setter
I watched the big winger with one arm score on the BBC highlights. He could have taught a few of the full first teamers a thing or two about determination.
Denton Rovers RLFC
Bloody Love it! I remember seeing this huge lad really struggling to keep up with play at Old Albanians probably playing fourths or some such (where St.Albans Cents used to play out of), there was a few taking cheap shots and laughing. I said well he's having a go and across the whitewash doing his best, where are you presently? There should never be barriers for people to play sport/take part in physical activities (nor anything else) and people having sly digs or making fun at people because they aren't portraying some image that in their tiny minds is the only way it should be can go do one and take a good hard look at themselves. It's this kind of thing that encourages people to help themselves by giving them more confidence, making them feel more accepted and happier in a world where still far too many turn away or simply reject and worse hound. latchford albion
A plus point for the venue, as opposed to a city centre on such as Newcastle was the LDRL event in Stanley Park, but it was great to see the emphasis placed on it in the stadium too. It makes you proud to be part of the Rugby League family. "I'm a traditionalist and I don"t think you'd ever see me coaching an Australian national side!" Leazes Park is right behind the Leazes Stand at St James and has plenty of open space so this would work in Newcastle as well if it comes back.
