I just added a positive comment as well.  Have to redress the balance a little.

Likewise. Best thing is to be in and out as quickly as possible (reminds me of something else 🤔) post and don’t read the other drivel

As we're talking about the BBC - I was shocked this morning when the Radio 2 breakfast show had a  section on RL before 9am.  It concentrated on Salford's incredible progress this year as well as Toronto being promoted to Super League.

So the positive thing about today is that you can listen to commentary on the England Jamaica game live on the BBC website.

The negative is that the website has said all week that there are no Rugby League fixtures today.

to be fair, the BBC website is also useless for cycling and snooker. Its American Football reportage is suprior to these raditional sports. Not that I mind about it having decent NFL coverage.

An article on the website about BBC coverage of the forthcoming GB matches says as follows ....

---------------------------------------------------

The Great Britain Rugby League Lions are returning for their first matches since 2007 - with four Tests planned, including two against New Zealand in Auckland and Christchurch.

The Lions beat New Zealand 3-0 in England 12 years ago and the All Golds' long-awaited chance for revenge will start on 2 November, a week after the Lions open their tour in Hamilton against Tonga.

---------------------------------

All Golds ???

Yes the 2007 Kiwis were called that but only due to it being the centenary of when their first team came over here - and had been dubbed "All Golds" (in a derogatory way by those in Rugby Union) because they were playing for money.

However, surely they are now back known as the Kiwis ?

Typical general sports' writer who obviously doesn't know much about the game and has just wrote some facts he has gleaned from the past.
