Bassey and Stocky are both on deals that expire this year amongst a host of others hopefully in the few breaks we have this year. This 2 weeks and the challenge cup weeks we can tie them down to new deals

One down, one to go.

We really need to look at depth for next season, possibly increase the squad up to 28-30 players we have used Tyler Dupree, Junior Vaivai, Will Oakes, Liam Harris, Cameron Scott, Danny King, Joe Batchelor and Nick Rawsthorne plus a few others this season so far. With the reserves happening next season for super league with a big league too. The chances are FC or KR players will play reserve grade Wed/Thurs but that could mean if they came on loan to us they would be playing twice in a week. Although I like reserve grade only good if we have reserves to pick from maybe this is the season we start looking at the local talent pool again to try and promote upwards, competition is always good to have in the squad, would rather have a squad of 22 motivated fit players to choose from than a risky tired 17. Probably need an extra 4-5 players they could be scholarship style players similar to Kevin Brown who is at York uni but has a part time contract might play challenge cup and the odd league games as appropriate, good squad players nothing fancy.

Obviously we could do with a bigger squad, but finances will play a big part in who we bring in next season and do the Knights cherry pick the best local talent from the amateur teams in the city, which i understand the Knights aren't keen on if the players can't get into the Knights first team squad

James Green has signed for York for next season. Good player to have coming off bench. Gives away a few penalties as his aggression gets the better of him sometimes.

Hope this proves to be correct , quality forward with superleague experience, ???
