Yes, what's the reason for 30 minute halves?

The rules are similar to the men's game but:

There's two referees and the bunker; it has the same judiciary process; there is the shot; and HIAs.

  • Games are different in that there are 30-minute halves.
  • There are 10 interchanges allowed in regular time, plus two additional in golden point.
  • It is a 40/30 kick, rather than a 40/20.

Predictions for the future -

Crusaders RL to get a franchise for 2012 onwards -WRONG

Widnes Vikings also to get a franchise - RIGHT

Crusaders RL to do the double over Widnes and finish five places ahead of them -WRONG

Widnes Vikings NOT to dominate rugby league in years to come! STILL TO COME

I’m pretty sure the women’s game over here is the same rules as the men’s................seems very odd. Are all Aussie women’s games played to that?

It’s 30 minute halves in NSW and 35 in Queensland.

They found that with the lower levels of fitness and/or less battle hardened bodies that during longer matches the quality deteriorated towards the end and injuries increased.

The plan is to increase match length as fitness and playing depth improves.
