Did anyone see that video on Twitter of a Saints fan in their car singing a Regan Grace song to the tune of Mambo No 5? I don't know how to copy twitter stuff on here, but it was brilliant!

My personal favourite was when Steve Price tackeld him to the ground after the game and they had him feeling his way along the walls into the physiotherapy room to have his head put back the right way round, comedy like that hits home on so many levels ouside the game if put out there?

Apparently there's another version of that by the St Helens women's side, about their team. All good fun.

Would be great if they invested in getting rugby league played in Warrington and surround (especially given that they have a free reign for 200 miles south of the town!).

Great post! Can you please contact the club and tell them, because it might not have occurred to them ?

200 miles south is a lot to play with. If my maths are right, we can market in Glastonbury but not quite Bournemouth.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

Surely if we are making such claims then Warrington should only have 100 miles to the South and London 100 miles to the North. Leeds must also have about 300 miles to the North to play with too.

Poor Leigh, they have about as far as you can hit a tennis ball with a racquet in any direction from the LSV.

And here is the stereotypical RL fan post. Quality humour, well done Lobby.

I take it you missed my subtle sarcasm towards the post I quoted about the game being interrupted..

PS For anyone who’s interested - I can’t be sure but I think that Dakota in the clip is the one that used to be parked on the General Aviation apron at Liverpool Airport for a while.   It has a lot of history as I believed it served in WW2 and also in Nam and I had the pleasure of having a look round the cockpit about 10 years ago.   There are some patched up bullet holes in the skin, visible from the inside, where the FO or equivalent was shot during the Second World War.   More recently it has dropped poppies over Liverpool on Remembrance Day. ?

quality.. my son will love that.. massive Wolfie fan! Also like the fact St Helens are interacting with it as well.. some great twitter moments come from random "discussions" between companies, as long as they have a sense of humour its good.

damn right let Bournemouth do their own work expanding the game.. full of old grumpy retirees for whom the past is always better so they should take to the game well!

It's debateable whether saints are, they sort of joined in with the first game earlier this year then stopped.

Saints fans on the other hand responded in their usual, "1955" fashion not bothering to see the big picture.  Even the wigan fans eventually understood the promo and advertising we were doing when it got to the magic weekend.

I love what Warrington are doing, and most of it doesn't cost much other than the time it takes to do it. Simple, consistent, funny marketing, targeting the usually lower attended games, its all easily achievable for any club.

As for opposition fans, some wouldn't understand marketing if it smacked them in the face with this lovely Teflon non stick frying pan (£19.99 in all good supermarkets!). Its promotion, its a laugh, it gets people talking about the game! I'm getting more and more fed up with the "I must be outraged at everything" brigade who don't ever seem to see beyond the end of their nose.

Hopefully more clubs can follow Warringtons lead!

they at least responded to this one with a "yeah well we're top of the league" style tweet, but it helps build the game up... not quite at the level of the cathedrals abusing each other that happened a few years ago and was very funny but still its a start.

The fly past was just pathetic attention seeking from a team without a title for over 60 years

No matter how much money they waste on cheap publicity stunts it won’t change the fact they remain a club of jealous fans who have looked up to the big clubs for generations

god forbid clubs try and seek some attention and cause people to talk about them!!! what will happen next, teams advertising their games for people to turn up?!?!?

Yes it is a cheap stunt but it is all about attention seeking and making things interesting to attract people to games..

and whats wrong with looking up to the big clubs.. having aspirations and striving to make them reality is what life is all about.

god some people can be right miseries sometimes!

see this is exactly the sort of thing i was referring to, its amazing how much a chip saints fans have on their shoulders, totally doesn't see the bigger picture.

Considering you have such a low opinion of the wire, and they are so unsuccessful and jealous of Saints you certainly have a bee in your bonnet about them wanting to publicise a match. Maybe if crawl back under our stone you could rest easy, so sad.
