Day

Makatoa

Walters

A special mention to Scott Wheeldon, today he started the game with a heavily strapped knee and was struggling to walk let alone run, after he was subbed he was trying to run in a warm up before going back on, he was still hobbling but he went back on and ran and tackled with no holding back. For me this typifies what this team is about guts and a willingness to help his team-mates, and today he wasn't the only player carrying a knock, but I thought he needed singling out for his contribution.

1 Day

2 Briscoe

3 Chisholm

The Tyrer try for Fax was a bit worrying to ease through our right side which were outdone a few times but on a plus note how many tries has King scored now from his trade mark acting half back sneak. It’s like the St Helens legend who the defence knows it’s coming but can’t do anything about it.

Closing this now. The winner by a lot was Day at 25. He was followed by Hardcastle and Briscoe at 8 and King and Makatua with 7. King leads overall with 15 points, Day has made rapid progress and has 14 points, Chisholm is still there with 13 points followed by Golding with 12 points and Hardcastle with 10. Bussey returns to the team and stands on 9 with Cooper. Still very close no one with a commanding lead. Look out now for the voting on the Leigh match.
