Crazy of Freddie not to pick David Klemmer.  Yes, the Blues did well in the second game against a very poor Queensland team but you have to expect that game 3 will be tougher.

Klemmer was the best forward on the pitch in game 1 playing straight through for 50 minutes (most of it with a broken wrist) and the Blues only started to lose the forward battle when he was replaced.

Klemmer is the best prop in the NRL and a guaranteed Kangaroo starter, I know Freddie is holding faith with a winning 17 but this seems too much for me.

A crestfallen Tariq Sims has expressed his disappointment after a judiciary panel suspended him from the State of Origin decider.

Sims was originally served with a grade-two charge — meaning he would miss three games.

But the player’s club, St George Illawarra, successfully had his charge downgraded and as such Sims will miss just one game. Sadly for him, that game will be next Wednesday’s clash against the Maroons.

Rubbish . Nothing given on the day even after being reviewed . The game isn’t played in minute slow motion . He was committed to the tackle and just smashed him fair n square

Blues halfback Nathan Cleary has been ruled out of the State of Origin decider, replaced in camp by Knights star Mitchell Pearce.

Cleary has been battling an ankle injury that kept him sidelined through the second half of Origin II in Perth, but reports have emerged he has been ruled out.

“Pearce will be in camp tonight,” NSW coach Brad Fittler told The Telegraph.

“Nathan Cleary is out.”

Qld is supposed to be issuing a team list today (as opposed to a squad) so I'm waiting but haven't seen it yet.

Agreed.  Poor decision to ban him for that contact. Not even a penalty for me.

Wallace and Napa (in particular) were poor.

Jai Arrow is the guy the Maroons have missed, that guy is a machine.

Queensland’s Matt Gillett has been ruled out of Wednesday night’s Origin decider, with 18th man Ethan Lowe set to make his Origin debut at ANZ Stadium.

Gillett was battling a groin injury, but has failed to prove his fitness.

Lowe was originally named as the 18th man, but will now be likely called up to play his first game in the Origin arena.

Dylan Napa has been brought into the Maroons’ squad as well, with Walters telling the media he’ll make a call on Gillett’s replacement soon.

Talking of which...

“It’s the big unknown.

How will the Maroons line up when they face the Blues tonight?

With Matt Gillett out and Ethan Lowe called up as his replacement seems a like for like replacement. Confusion and mystery still surround Queensland’s side.

There’s also David Fifita who could come in, while it remains to be seen if Moses Mbye will start at centre with Michael Morgan becoming the Maroons utility substitute.

Gillett’s withdrawal has prompted some to suggest coach Kevin Walters knew all week that the Bronco wouldn’t be fit. With all these permutations swirling around, assistant coach Justin Hodges says the Maroons are yet to make up their minds.

“I don’t know. I really don’t,” Hodges said of the starting team and the possibility that Lowe may feature on or off the bench.

“Kevvy hasn’t made that decision yet. We will just have to wait until before kick-off.

“He’s (Lowe) been a fantastic player. He’s played in big games, been in grand finals (for North Queensland.”
