Next up: Batley

This will be another tough game. We should be going full of confidence, 4 match winning run, nearly beat them in the 1664 cup with a lot of first teamers rested.

Won’t be easy, it never is up there and there’s been little between the clubs in the 3 meetings this season however we have won 14, Batley just 6. There’s a great chance to get in the playoffs now and it’s a crucial game.

Hope we get there in numbers and get in the covered stand behind the sticks, was a good atmosphere there back in January.

The hard games are coming thick and fast, the good thing is we now have just about every player fit, pity about Benny retiring we could do with him.

Yep, hard games coming up in the next few weeks for all those who have to play the mighty mighty Kneets!!

Birthday game for me so will be there with a London mate but he will be supporting York so if you hear a southern accent that will be him!

At least he won't be able to understand the Batley Fan's

Haven't missed Benny so much in recent weeks, I think Connor and Liam have dovetailed brilliantly. He's taken the pressure off Connor to do everything himself. A squad with no real Superstars, which in turn makes them all just that.

Can you get tickets in advance for Sunday's game from the Knights?

£18 from Batley plus 20p admin....all four sides including seating....or £20 on the day/gate

not sure how away supporters get theirs....

York Knights twitter account is challenging us to take 500 fans to Batley. Let's do it!

As Pete said in an earlier post , let's get behind the sticks at the covered end and make a right ding.

The vocal Batley fans for some reason prefer to stand to the side of one of the touch line stands near the try line leaving this stand free.

Appreciate some York fans prefer/need to sit but if as many of us as poss can go behind the sticks (like at Sheffield 2nd half) it will be much better than being all spread out ?

Is there any plans for a pub beforehand or straight to the ground?

have you been before ?

there's the Union Rooms,( Wetherspoon's ).at the end of town

and a beer garden behind the short stand at the ground. if you don't mind plastic. great on a sunny day.

First time for me looking forward to ticking off this iconic ground

Same here. Missus wants to stop over and make a weekend of it so I've suggested the Ikea challenge ?

Would you play up the slope first half or down it?, if you play up it first half do you score as many points then try and keep them out second or try  to stop them scoring first half then hope they are tired out second half and try to over run them.

Loose the toss , you get no choice .

It was only a couple of weeks ago you beat us and its a long time since we won at your place.

we don't seem to use the slope to our advantage these days,  and throw it about more , but cannot catch it.

you'll see, enjoy your day in the Sun, in beer garden anyway, if your going in the shade in the top stand.

enjoy your long awaited win at the mount...the last time was the year 2000

There is a Charity head shave after the game...
