Sheffield

We had a lot of possession in good positions but failed to do anything at all useful on each occasion. Nobody hitting the gaps, passes hurried and short, mistimed runs and hopeful (hopeless?) kicking made us easy to defend against.

I felt that we were the dominant team but Sheffield were far more clinical when in possession, even though they wasted a number of good chances themselves.

Overall an enjoyable game for the 400 (1500 in LE) fans who were present. However, winning points are now becoming even more important, maybe desperately so.

Sport, amongst other things, is a dream-world offering escape from harsh reality and the disturbing prospect of change.
