Maybe the title of this thread might need a rethink. Or face the wrath of anyone trying to avoid the score..

I already changed it.

Although the best advice for anyone who wants to avoid the score is don't go on a Rugby League site on the internet before you watch the game.

Meh, it is very easy to manage spoilers if people wanted to.

The game was a cracker even if the refereeing was bizarre - harsh penalties for a while and then ignoring all sorts later on when things didnt get better.

Some outstanding tries and play, but once again, the magic moment of the match winning try was somewhat ruined by being sent to the VR for no real reason.

The Aussie referee system really is the pits

We moan about our refs but the Aussie refs are very poor

That Qld try was a double movement all day long. My one complaint about the Aussie game is how they ignore rules or interpret them differently on a whim and sometimes chamge intereptation from one week to the next

McGuire's? Not a chance.

The decisions on field and in the bunker in that NZ Warriors game last week were up there with the worst officiating ive ever witnessed

Quite frankly they were beyond embarrassing and the insular Aussies think there refs are better than ours.

Anyway lets not digress and lets talk about a great game of Rugby League football.

And if they don't...?

Advice still stands.

Odd advice from somebody who surely wants traffic to the site if you ask me. Some people will only watch the game late tonight and should be able to nip onto a British RL forum.

I personally think forums like this should have repercussions for spoilers in titles.

He is flat on the floor 5m infront of the line then gets on his knees and elbows and propels forward then lifts his arm. Sure there looked to be some momentum but without his movement you cant be sure it would have gone over. it was a text book double movement

A really good game to watch as it was on a knife edge at the end. Have to admire the Queensland team in this one, after drubbing in game 2 and then NSW pulling out to a 12 point lead they could have thrown in the towel but they didn't and came roaring back into the game.

Overall this series was fast and skilful as we always get from State of Origin. The dangerous runners were the stars of the series, Tesdesco, Munster, Cook and Trbojevic while the forward battle was intense.

The only area below recent quality was at half back... the likes of Maloney, Pearce and Cherry-Evans are good but they are not in the same class as Cronk and Thurston and with an average age of 31 they are not exactly new kids on the block.

We'll have to agree to disagree because quite frankly I find your stance on that one bizarre :kolobok_biggrin:

Good !  We've a better chance of beating the Aussies if their half backs aren't as good as the last lot

I thought some of the forwards were average too, particularly on the Maroon side.

The likes of Tedesco though are frighteningly good.

Some of them, yes.

But a combined forward pack below is still top quality

Klemmer

Cook

Papalii

Cordner

Kaufusi

J. Trbojevic

With the likes of Vaughan, Frizell and Murray off the bench
