If buffer is out would Danny tickle kick goal, he is a super league kicker and hasn't kicked so far is there a reason for this?

Excellent today and that was not a poor Keighley team,we just did not let them play.

I wanted Chris Thorman for coach as soon as we announced Leon was gone and today proved why.

Listening to him on the Radio after the game he said that is what you can achieve when you get players  training and following the plan he put into place after analysing Keighley.

We nullified all their key men and were pretty ruthless in attack and it also helped we had a decent bench for a change.Imagine what he could do if he also had a fully fit squad with the likes of Elliot,Ollie,Fieldhouse,Bolton,Lancaster and Karl to come in.

Hope the extra week before the Haven game gives the walking wounded like Tom and Caine that bit longer to recover.

Yes you dare say it. He did allow Keighley to lie on for far too long but other than that he was infinitely better than last week's Muppet. Today was pretty much the complete performance with maximum contributions from every Town player. Great to see Scotty back in top form and Buffer demonstrating just why he was such a miss recently. Hope he isn't crocked after having to leave the field uncharacteristically early.

Also relieved to be back home at DP - just seems "right" somehow.  One thing I would like to take from the Burough Park experience is the return of in-house catering . The pie, peas and gravy at the Reds were excellent and brought back fond memories of similar fare once on offer at the Town canteens.

Lovely but a tad expensive IM0

Attendance 904 not bad for a team in 6th position, well done all and pitch looked brilliant, well done.

Amazing ng considering the season we've had.

I hope we can keep Hewitt at least til the end of the season. He doesn't look out of place when he plays for Huddersfield and gives his all for us. Good to have Caine back too, I like watching him tackle he plants his feet and slams the into the turf. They looked hungry yesterday and they'll need to be famished in a fortnight.

Great performance from everyone , agree with everyones comments on players commitment , Tom Curwen still playing on through the pain barrier and went off in discomfort again , when is this lad gonna buy some luck with injuries .Knew when Carl stayed down it must be bad , never known him injured , hope it`s not as bad as it looked .We dominated up the middle but Keighleys pack looked one of the lightest i`ve seen this season , good crowd , good pitch and at last a big step forward in our performance.

Pitch looked good from a distance but when you go on it big patches haven't grown and there is no drainage. The old track is like Harrington shore

What we're them two big black round containers for just below the grandstand?

I imagine they we used for the sprinkler system to water the pitch.

The pitch will improve with time, once the ground starts to settle.

What's worrying is last night's rain wasn't a deluge by any means if we do get one it will be like a boating lake. The old pitch only flooded in the Town end corner and only after days if incessant rain. Any drainage has now been removed when the old pitch was dug up Allerdale Just wanted a cheap job done to get both clubs through the next couple of years. Probably this isn't going to be the case now so surely Town should get a pitch that is fit for purpose like it was before they ripped it up. The old one was far from perfect but served its purpose. The outer perimeter is now like a bomb site since the track was removed, I would like to think Allerdale would sort this, the club shouldn't have to fund it. What's really annoying is the fact that DP was looking good at the start of the season after hard work by a few volunteers. Let's hope common sense prevails and this mess gets sorted.

That really is a worrying image!  D P was always a fast-draining pitch due to the ashes and cinder sub strata provided by the former refuse tip foundations ( no "rubbish" jokes please!).    Looks like that drainage has been seriously compromised by the recent relaying and if that proves to be the case then is there any redress to be had from the contractor or Allerdale council as landlords??  The margins alongside the touch lines are too narrow to offer much safety to players being forced into touch.

Ike will be spinning in his grave to see the Cumbrian turf that he tended so well replaced by German grass seed!

so that's 2 grounds now with zero drainage as the crack at BP is the old drains under the ground have collapsed as well.

Don't worry folks the cons/ind alliance have promised to provide a new stadium.
