With tough games for Bradford, Sheffield and Halifax I expect we'll see the top five pull away from the rest this week.

It's a key game for Batley this week.

They were very competitive throughout the game at Sheffield and a repeat of that standard is necessary but with a quicker attack.

Rochdale appeared to play better last week against Dewsbury so it will be  tough.

The aim must be to be safe before the final game at Barrow as going there needing a result will be very difficult.

Halifax & Leigh home wins, the rest away wins.

The 1895 Final warm-up should be the most intriguing.

Sport, amongst other things, is a dream-world offering escape from harsh reality and the disturbing prospect of change.

Widnes just can't win in Yorkshire this season. Where is Wembley again???

In a place where Sheffield Eagles have never lost.

No reserves, but resilience, persistence and determination are omnipotent.

The 1895 Cup Final is all that matters for most of the Widnes players....hence tonight's stuffing.

Absolutely, no way whatsoever can those same players who played at Leigh on Sunday had the same attitude they displayed in that victory,  if they did then watch out for Sheffield everyone, promotion could be beckoning.

Widnes need to be careful about that. If Barrow beat York tomorrow then they'll be one point behind Widnes.

Is winning the 1895 Cup going to be worth it if they get relegated to League 1? Because it's not entirely implausible.

Swinton just missing out at Leigh

Matty Ashton top try scorer in the Championship

Not bad for a team most people tip for relegation

Typified the saying the tortoise and the hare, Swinton were nothing but wonderful in the first half running good lines hard and direct and supporting the ball well worth tgeir 24 points, Leigh played it more slowly and expierence  came throgh at the end.

I hope the Bradford player who squirrel gripped Miloudi cut his nails.  On Twitter - has to be a ban.

Miloudi took a pasting today. But it's the first time I've seen what he's capable of as a player. Holy heck. Can't wait to see him in action at Lamport.

ive been drinking today but im sure i saw john kear go for 2 points when 3 behind with 7 minutes left..cant believe the bradford players did as they were told

They did something similar last season, going for 2 against York when they were 2 points behind, in a match where had they won it would pretty much have been the title going their way. Bradford don’t half make some strange decisions at times.
