Ok.  I didn’t rate that as a spear by any means.  You must be right though.

Wasnt it the one that was more of a tip tackle rather than a spear? I dont recall a spear either. He pulled his leg up and it was dangerous, but  it sure there was too much in it although they can be dangerous.

Three Catalan players facing bans, quite rightly may I add, but only one Warrington.

There could and should have been a couple of Wire players off at the end.

Which ones mate?

All these highly things in the game have blighted it.  There all in plain view as well.

Apart from that, I’m bloody worn out with this thread.

Who and why.

Mamo for running in and for putting  his head in Tomkins face,

Hill for fighting and not trying to control his players

Not controlling his players is not an offence, just poor captaincy. As for fighting were he received an A grade penalty which carries no match ban.

Mamo was involved a lot but you heard the match officials say putting your head towards not a headbut is a yellow card if it is a red card offence there would down to nine a side in every game.

Not liking Warrington players is not a reason to ban them

5 catalan players banned! could be something to do with them playing leeds friday.

Wondered when the conspiracy theories would come out.

of course its got nothing to do with the mass brawl at the end which started from a blatent high shot

About right with the judiciary stuff. The way people spoke about it at the time, I had visions of something on a similar scale to Ben Flower’s attack on Lance Hohaia, when in fact, it was just a bit of a punch-up, something some people seem to think we need to bring back to the game but when it did get brought back, they become hugely offended by it and wanted everyone banned and teams docked points.

Time to move on once the bans get announced and let the clubs get on with any inquests they want to conduct in regards to fan behaviour.

There's no such thing as coicidence and for you who believe in them, there's a nine pound note on your chair!

I must admit, I wouldn't have complained had Hill been banned for ignoring the ref, but I'm not sure that has ever been done before and the circumstances were a bit crazy.

It was a but of a perfect storm, when the crowd trouble happened it blew it all up.

The bigger issue was less about serious foul play, it was the spoilt petulance from many of the players, and that is where the  clubs should receive punishments for  ot controlling their players.

It was embarrassing and we shouldn't accept that in.our game, but as you say, there was no real serious foul play apart from the two red cards. It was a lot of minor stuff.

The only similarity to the Ben Flower incident was Greg Bird holding a player by the collar on the floor with his fist raised above him

5 catalans players suspended.

1 Warrington. And it's not even Mamo.

Farce.

That’s ridiculous. I’m not saying the 5 from Catalan is wrong but I think at least another 2 Warrington players should have been banned, Chris Hill and Mamo.

I thought his running in and punching on 2 separate occasions, plus how he acted with the ref deserved a ban. Only my opinion, but worthy of a ban for me.

There are no winners here, none with less blame and the loser is the game itself.

They started it! recriminations and counter charges are useless and illogical.

After I was hurt by a coin thrown at the old Wilderspool my wife said she would never come to watch Warrington again and we haven't, but if you look at my posts although that was a long time ago you'll find I haven't mentioned it till now and it has nothing to do with the violence the other day. I'm saying this just to point out I could have put these together and made out Wolves fans were the problem but I'm not doing that, and I wish other people would do the same.

Yes they have to be found wanting for the other day and anyone else involved but making out one set is responsible and the others not so, whether it's the player's or the fans violence, is irresponsible and lame.

One thing that appears to be missing from disciplinary procedures is the sheer number of incidents by individual players. Individually, they might not be much, but when you've done 3 or 4 things, surely it should hold a collective punishment for consistently breaking the rules?

It will be interesting to see what team walks out on Thursday night given Lineham's ban, Austin and Hughes' injuries, and lack of Charnley, one assumes.

In fact, if Steve Price has any sense he'll also sit Hill out for a few weeks while he sorts his head out. There are one or two others who need to understand that their places aren't automatic, too. They are *not* indispensible.

Perhaps a massive shake up will be no bad thing, and might even be the making of Warrington's season. Too much talent has been sitting on the sidelines or farmed out to other clubs for long enough.

Sadly.......so true....

Not all, some of us stay in and respect the city of Perpignan, it's people and it's cultures and have no thoughts on commiting acts of violence - and yes we drink all day there too sometimes.

Maybe it''s just the mentality of the individuals involved ?

It's maybe worth also pointing out that it seems like there was no further trouble after the match, with Warrington & Catalans fans drinking in bars in Perpignan etc.

As i say, most who stay in Perpignan respect it, never stayed in Lloret as that kind of thing doesn't appeal to me or my group but i can imagine what kind of place it is and the  people it attracts, maybe that's where the idiots were staying,  or it could be a coincidence the trouble left when the 'beer buses' did.
