There seems to be some confusion as to the status of Jack Johnson, Is he now a Fev registered player or on loan from Warrington.

I'm not sure there should be any confusion - neither club's website said anything about a loan, Warrington's said he had been "transferred" to us, ours said he had joined us for the rest of the season, and the player himself tweeted that his time with Warrington was over. Think this often happens with players coming to the end of their contracts, the original club get a player who wasn't likely to figure in their plans off their payroll for the last few weeks of the season, the new club get a player to help out over the closing weeks and to have a look at with a view to offering a contract for 2020 and beyond.

That said, I think a season-long signing, rather than a loan, was the only way forward for us given we want to preserve the limited loan/DR places for the guys we already use regularly in that sphere. I do think as a club we have been very smart in who we sign on loan, who we sign up as full time etc to maintain the overall quality of the squad.
