Whitehaven fan I think, going by his posts on the Workington forum. So if he has seen every single London game that's a hell of an effort to see a team he doesn't like.

just a rugby league fan.with a opinion not that its any of your business.

The format was changed because allegedly the 8's were more popular than the top of SL and people were moaning about that,  this result has really put the focus on the bottom indeed if it was not there already, not taking anything away from London in fact I find the bottom of SL totally fascinating far more interesting  than the top.

But this result also impacts on the top 5. And in addition, Hull losing so massively has changed things at the top.

Personally I think revelling in relegation is a bit like small boys pulling wings of flies.

what a farcical game this was its as though the rfl are doing the best to keep london up.theres no way on earth london would beat catalans twice in one season leeds and also saints.wait and see how the london v leeds game is reffed.

But they also lost to a Halifax side who haven’t exactly set the world on fire this year

It is car crash stuff but if you watch the game in general with no allegiance to one team you have to find your intrest somwhere, the top has been a foregone conclusion for ages and you can pretty well guess who will be in the GF. As for the top 5 if Hull can still be thereabouts 2nd or3rd after some of the tankings they have had it doesn't say much about the quality or commitment on display, perhaps it's a by product of contracts instead of winning pay,  but the amount of teams who seem disinterested should be a cause for concern, pride in one's performance seems a thing of the past, or is it because some player's are signed upto other club's for the following seasons as early as June?

It's called competition Rupert, all the teams in the division will never be in contention to win the GF infact since it's inception only 4 teams winning it has been pretty boring plus in 21 finals Leeds, Wigan and Saints have been in 10 finals each, Bradford 6 but their last one 2005, it's no wonder that interest has switched to the bottom the competition is much more varied and may I also add intriguing and exiting to many many people.

I know that you are firmly in the "no relegation" way of thinking, what a complete bore we would have then, except for all but 5 maybe 6 clubs what would this season or the last 3 for that matter have brought other than nothing to play for for half the season.

I think having a season not involving most of the clubs whether it be winning the GF or avouding the drop is like whitewashing walls it would be totally bland.

Then the others should be better

Greg Bird is a disgrace and needs banning for that, cheating cretin.

Sadly that’s what he’s become. He’s always been a grub but there was a 5-6 year period around his first Catalans stint where he was one of the best second rowers in the world and his skill often overshadowed his grubby nature. Unfortunately he’s now well past his best and all you notice is him being a grub. I for one will not miss him when he retires at the end of the season

We only have 12 teams.  It's rubbish looking at relegation in the context of 12 teams.  With one exception (TWP who are throwing money and resources at it) the Championship clubs are not really viable SL options.  If any club offers those possibilities then bring them into superleague.

Frankly I would abolish the cap but have  ring fences for minimum funding for reserves, academy and development. Plus one for Chalmers ego, and a fence round Beaumonts patio.
