Probably not the Game of the Round but important to both teams. Wests still have about a 1/40 chance of snagging 8th spot but they would have to win all their remaining games. While Manly are safe in the 8, they could finish anywhere from 3rd to 8th, depending on other results and they have some tough games coming up - Raiders, Storm and Parra. They are currently on +72 points differential but some possible upcoming losses mean that tonight is their only real chance to beef up their +/-

from nrl.com:

Sea Eagles v Wests Tigers, Thursday 7.50pm at Lottoland

Sea Eagles: Centre Brad Parker is set to miss two matches with a knee cartilage injury. He is replaced by Brendan Elliot. Curtis Sironen's hamstring strain (1-2 weeks) hands Jack Gosiewski a starting berth in the back row. Captain Daly Cherry-Evans is fit to play after picking up an ankle concern in last week's defeat to the Warriors. Sean Keppie and Lloyd Perrett were omitted 24 hours before kick-off. The Sea Eagles have won six of their past seven games at Lottoland.

Wests Tigers: Jacob Liddle comes in as starting hooker in the absence of veteran Robbie Farah (fractured tibia). Tommy Talau, 19, will make his NRL debut at centre with captain Moses Mbye struck down by a hip flexor strain. Josh Reynolds is included in the reserves and looms as an extra playmaking option for coach Michael Maguire. With Luke Garner suspended at the judiciary on Tuesday night for dangerous contact, Chris Lawrence comes into the starting side and Chris McQueen moves from the reserves to the bench. Robert Jennings is the other 24-hour cut. Tigers winger Paul Momirovski has scored four tries in his past three games.

After 5 minutes Jacob Liddle has a kneee injury and leaves the field, again, again. Poor guy. Elijah Taylor comes on at dummy half.

Dumb, dumb penalty by Luke Brooks, putting a knee into the face of the tackled Manly players when Tigers had forced a knock on in the tackle.

13min: Gosiewski crosses but pass from DCE ruled forward. Didn't look too bad but he had too reach way forward to catch it so it looked worse than it was maybe.

18min: T-Turbo crosses but held up.

19min: end of that same set Gosiewski dives on the DCE kick through. TRY

26min: Noff "Paddy" O'Luma TRY behind the posts. Bunker took a reasonable approach to possible obstruction. Momirovski goal.

Tough on Garrick that

That was a ridiculous call. If garrick had only made 10m they wouldn't have called it.

Chris McQueen must be a candidate for Duddest Signing Ever. He's only made first-grade 8 times in 2 years at a bottom-half team. So now he's off HIA after 5 minutes and he's still on contract until the end of next year.

FD can you go up to Chris McQueen and tell him that hairdo of his is not appropriate for a number of reasons. He’s off HIA after friendly fire in a tackle.
