What a game that was. Skolars must be devasted as really should have won it at the end but were really poor with their drop goal attempts. Hunslet score at the death with a forward pass to rub salt in the wound too. Have to say at full speed it didn't look forward to me. Horrible way to lose though.

referee over ruled the linesman who gave it forward. terrible decision and hard to take tbh. the ref has been awful every time he has refd at new river. i could take a one off but this is too many times imo

Absolutely and we’ve drawn one game and lost two by one point (arguably last night could have turned on us getting a drop goal). I’m not pessimistic more frustrated at the same things going wrong. If we can build on this season then next should be good.

Unfortunately that's often the level of the officials we have at this level, we've seen some abysmal efforts this season. But you have to accept it will happen, same as you accept players will drop easy balls, throw bad passes, make terrible decisions, kick poorfly etc.

How have we progressed this season we Have only won more games than west wales and Coventry yet we have been in this league for 20 years so we are an established club and have gone backwards the past 3 seasons. People need to be accountable for the failure starting from to the top with hector McNeil and the board as well as coaches and players. We have players that have played superelague and championship and have full time players from broncos and Wigan and still we can’t get results.

Skolars hit a plateau 3 years ago & then had 2 poor seasons where they did not grow on the pitch, however this year has in all honesty seen a significant improvement in competitiveness and 80 min effort. The league table position is disappointing, but any regular viewer must acknowledge their has been progress in performance & attitude in most of the games this year.

Referee overrules TJ des[pite TJ saying pass was forward. How is that fault of TJ ? And yes, I was at the match and talked to ref after game and he explained why he made that decision. Might not agree with him but he had to make the decision in real time and all 3 (ref and 2 TJs) had watched incident on both Our League footage and Hunslet  club footage. He'd just been given copy of Skolars footage (directly in line with incident) but hadn't watched that yet.

FYI, TJ closest to it said it was forward, far side TJ said it was OK and ref believed it was OK (won't go into his reasoning as was private conversation). Anyway, couple of Skolars tries looked potentially forward so . . . . . . . 

My wife complains I selfishly stop her fulfilling her true ambition -

she really wants to be a rich widow

The quality this season - given the level of competition- is much much better then previous seasons. We were six points from playoffs. Yes there’s room for improvement but the plan is to get promoted next year. Sort the problems out and they will. Frustrating? Yes. But the mere fact we’ve got people like you complaining we’ve not done better shows how far we’ve progressed. The thing for me - and where the coach is lacking - is getting the players to compete over 80 mins. This is no longer about fitness or tactics IMO but confidence.

We have not progressed at all. Still down towards the bottom of the table and we have only won more games than Coventry and West Wales so where is the progression?? With the players we have available to us with duel reg and we poached 3 of west wales better players at the start of the season. So who people have to be accountable. Seems like fans are happy to put up with below average performances every season.

So, what’s the problem and solution then? I’ve been a ST holder for over a decade and IMO the performances have massively improved.

Do you ever go along to the Skolars Supporters Group meetings to air your views?
