Parramatta are chasing a fifth straight win and Canterbury their fourth win on the trot.

Was it only last season that Eels earned the wooden spoon?

Eels: Prop Junior Paulo is welcomed back this week after recovering from a rolled ankle. Daniel Alvaro will move to the bench and Tepai Moeroa to the reserves.

Dogs: Dean Pay is happy to roll on with a winning team, naming the same 17 who beat Souths last weekend.

These teams last met in Round 2 at Homebush and after Canterbury took off to an early 10-0 lead, the Eels peeled off 30 points unanswered to eventual win 36-16. Clint Gutherson and Blake Ferguson both scored a double,

In the last ten outings it’s 6-4 Parramatta’s way and that includes wins in six of the last seven meetings.

Full Time

Parramatta Eels 6 - 12 Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs

Eels top four ambitions take a hit.

The revival of the Dogs continues.

They just about deserved that in and edgy game.

Not attractive footy but it was close and hard fought. Too many errors to be called a classic.

Both teams werer in each other's faces much of the game.

Thanks to Graham for sitting through that game so the rest of us didn't need to.

I learnt today that NRL clubs include Fishing Shirts among their merchandise range. How did I get this far in life without knowing that? The obvious question would be what does the Sharks' fishing shirt look like?

Late mail: The Cowboys have lost Jake Clifford to an ankle injury, with John Asiata expected to play in the halves. Penrith will face Jason Taumalolo, who has been cleared to return from a foot injury.
