Former wakefield, harlequins, leigh, Wigan , huddersfield and most recently workington town prop Oliver willes has retired from professional rugby league, he was club captain at workington during the last 2 years of his career, he has made over 500 career appearances and over 100 tries, he also played for Scotland for a number of years, best of luck for the future

Played more times for Keighley then any other club if Wikipedia is correct.

500 games of RL at any level is a hell of an achievement.  

Going to be a long time rubbing his knees.

Remember watching him during his brief spell at Wigan, stands out in my memory since although we were absolutely awful at that time he always seemed to be trying his best.

Eleven (?) professional clubs and a 21-year career is pretty good going for a prop forward. Always remember him scoring the match-winning try for Scotland against Fiji in the 2008 world cup, their first ever win.

Absolute tough nut of a player and even more important an awesome  ad off the field .

Hope the RFL / Cumbria RL / Cumbrian Clubs can keep him involved in the game up there after retirement ,the sort of positive individual the game needs ...

But then again  I wont hold my breath ....;_(
