My ‘fear’ with Warrington is although they are assembling one of the best sides - if not the best side - in Super League, Steve Price will have them playing five one-out passes and a kick.

I'm saying nothing about that.....

Like I say, I'm not even complaining about the fairness, but this kind of performance from Wire was inevitable.

This wont be keeping many casual fans hooked.

The problem you have on here is that we are not casual fans and watch a lot more rugby than probably most. I have watched some awful games which casual watchers have said to me was a great game.

Someone at work, a casual watcher described the cup final as a classic to me, we set standards far higher than the casual viewer.

Its been tight, a bit of a punch up and then a few good tries open it up towards the end. That to a casual viewer may be all he wants.

This is a weird performance by us. I'm not faulting the effort and in general play we have stood up well, couple of unlucky tries really, but I'm not sure whether we are even trying to score with the ball.

If we had no real ambitions of attacking and giving it a real go I'd have rested a few more tbh.

Some set high standards because we've seen better in our time. Some will just search long and hard for every negative, real or imagined. Others count empty seats or measure pitch-markings, and judge the match from that.

Let me never fall into the vulgar mistake of dreaming that I am persecuted whenever I am contradicted.
