WOW! that's a bit drastic.

However maybe just the threat of this will encourage more sensible behaviour.

It might also encourage some self policing from the majority of decent fans.

Davide spoke to me a few weeks ago after the last trouble and told me they were thinking of playing behind closed doors, which then unfortunately affects everyone. Yes I agree with your other comments

Im Fev and im proud

I have supported Rovers for nearly 60 years , and never have I been so disgusted by our " so called" fans than this year.

Please please sort it out

The club are trying their damdest and if they do have to ban alcohol then they will lose revenue and spoil it for the sensible drinkers, they can't win.

And losing revenue on alcohol is less than getting income from ticket sales and thus no revenue at all right? It's not the booze, it's people who have too many to drink and/or act in an unacceptable manner) so within the ground itself that means your staff are acting unlawfully by serving people who are clearly worse for wear re alcohol consumption. Banning booze sales is the easiest option, refusing people entry who are clearly tanked up is another easy option.Getting the police involved to be there to arrest those in breach of the peace would also have a direct impact on those that step outside the boundary's.

The problem for the club is how difficult it is to police individual actions of individual fans. Having witnessed the incident on Saturday, it involved one bloke shouting abuse (I've been told since that he called an assistant ref a "black c---") and then a short scuffle after which the steward in charge of escorting the match officials to their changing rooms escorted the fan off the premises. I'm not sure what more the club could have done in preparation for that?

Our fanbase, and wider society, has a minority of either outright racists, or people who feel emboldened to use racist language for whatever reason. How do you stamp that out? Giving them the option between a life ban and an educational course?
