I know, as a kid I used to collect the 'Electra Update' leaflets they produced when these were being built and the ECML upgraded. Now already some of them have been scrapped and the rest largely replaced on that line 😞

Are we approaching a level of performance where human reactions are inadequate? The McMurtry combines modern electric-car power and torque with fan-assisted ground effect (which has been banned more than once from motorsport in the past).

Have you ever read Corsairville by Graham Coster? Although based around a single remarkable story involving the Empire-class flying boat Corsair, it is also a historical overview and personal appreciation of flying boats in general.
