A gritty win for Toronto, the willpower got them through in the end. Featherstone played the better footy but Toronto’s power and quality showed through eventually. A lot to work on in the off season for them. And also Featherstone too, who will no doubt be having a raft of changes

No Fev running out of petrol on the hour mark and home advantage got them through.   I'm sure three away games on the trot, and a 12 hour journey back from Toulouse plus, a flight to a different time zone,  had a lot to do with it too.  So well done Toronto.  I'm sure the SL will welcome you with open arms ?

Yeah I’m sorry you’re right, Toronto only won because Fev ran out of petrol ?

It was an amazing effort by Featherstone over the last month. Toronto were wobbling big time. Hope they can keep hold of that coach. He has transformed the team.

In truth there wasn't any difference skill wise , it really was just down to size and stamina in the end

Do you think? I thought Toronto played some very nice, expansive Rugby. Indeed perhaps too expansive at times.

Fev and Leigh showed just how good the Championship can be.  The rules are the rules but why such an important game was not on neutral ground is beyond me.  Perhaps they should abandon OT for Langtree Park next week.

This was in the rules at the start of the season. Everybody understood them.

Oldham will play Newcastle at home in the League 1 Grand Final this weekend.

I think London did show this season how good the Championship can be with winning 10 games in Super League with more or less the same squad that they had in the Championship

It's always possible that being in the top tier of the game they can attract some crossover talent from RU, but we'll see between now and next season.

Doubt it .  For the 1st time in years I've watched a bit of union recently.

Different skill set  in most positions can't see any fowards or halves making a competent switch.  Top outside backs maybe but that's about it.

Looking into the future, I wonder how something like a League 1 GF and Championship GF as a double header at a neutral venue would work, maybe the day before the SL GF?

Headingley would have been a fairer compromise and more convenient for most of the Fev players.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

A very good game to watch, Fev scoring first made it interesting but ultimately TWP too strong and deserved winners.

For the naysayers just remind me which other city of 6million people we have in SL who's Mayor comes along to a game? And actually looks like he enjoyed it!

For the TWP fans maybe they will now appreciate why many said  the change of coach would gain them promotion, and credit to McDermott for stating why the game needs to embrace what's just happened, in those few words he showed more insight, understanding and nous about the game than Elstone, his string pullers or Rimmer will ever show till their dying breath?

A really enjoyable match. Toronto deserved to win and the crowd was a genuine sellout. Great performance from Featherstone, this was just one game too far. Some really class performances from all the Fev lads but particularly impressed with Davies and Harrison.

Toronto will bring lots of positives to SL not least in expanding the reach of the game and increased public recognition. They will though  have to strengthen before next season but providing they do so (and I imagine they will have the finances to do some serious recruiting) they should be well able to achieve at least a mid-table position. Nervous times for some SL chairmen!

Toronto need a half back fast!

I think you're correct on this. McCrone goes missing for me when it gets tough.

I remember at Barrow when we drew at home with them. Literally the worst conditions I've seen (rained for weeks before hand) and he was avoiding getting the ball. Someone who I was with didn't realise he was playing.

Some of the comments on social media from M62ers are just incredible ?

Looking on Twitter, it is mostly positive, and the majority of the naysayers are so illiterate you just don't bother with their opinions.
