What a game, ref having a good natch with tge exception of not penalising Grace for jumping in the tackle, Saints went on to score, when a free kick would have been a momentum  changer,  Salford could have started the next set in Saints 20.

Salford remind me of the 2015 Leeds side. Off loads anywhere on the park and never give up on a play. 

Big first 5-10 mins of 2nd half coming up. Saints score first can see them winning relatively comfortably but if Salford keep up this pressure and score I can see Saints wobbling.

Very good first half. High tempo, tense, low error rate, and three well worked tries. As good a first half as I can recall in the GF.

Hastings is some player. With every Salford offload he seemed to be the player to receive the ball or at least one pass away. Plays and reads the game so naturally. Wigan have got an absolute gem of a player next year. Today Salford have a potential match winner.

Salford just about weathered the storm, and then cut out the mistakes. Then they could show what they had, and they look dangerous. They'll believe they can do this, but they can't afford to gift saints all that territory again, error free football needed in the second half.

12 - 6 at half time, that is a really great score line for a GF.

So Salford are in with a shout... But it does not need to be an ace summariser to point out that the first score in 2nd half is vital.

You play to your strengths and against the opponent's weaknesses. If Makinson hasn't been taken off for his injury, he's as legitimate a target as any player.

Players often rub heads.  Rubbing heads isn't an offence.
