Bedfordshire Bronco 919 Report post Posted October 16 What was the attendance? Can't believe the RFL aren't making more of this publicity wise... This has come at the expense of traditional northern marathon runners in England ... Oops sorry wrong thread

It’s true I ran this year’s London marathon in over 5 1/2 hours and felt worse afterwards than when I’ve taken 3 1/2 hours. 2 hours must be a doddle
RL does what Sky says 770 Report post Posted October 16 Not a true record as it was specifically set-up with pacemakers all the way and was not in a competitive event - and also just a publicity gimmick for Nike's new shoes. Nobody would say it's a record if St.Helens played a friendly against a very low-ranking amateur team and scored the most number of points in a match. henage 621 Report post Posted October 16 Dont think anybody is saying its a world marathon record . Still one of the greatest runs by a male athlete . Wont be long before someone dips under 2 hours in a marathon race . 13mph on my bike takes some doing

A track race can still have variables, but they only affect by small margins. Quote Millions long for immortality who don't know what to do with themselves on a rainy Sunday afternoon.
