England 32-0 up after about 14 minutes.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

Nice to see England beating the old foe at something.

It takes wisdom to know when a discussion has run its course.

It takes reasonableness to end that discussion.

When are England going to concentrate on the higher quality English County of Origin games instead of all these blowout international games against lesser opposition? There's no point playing Australia now until after the majority of the invincible English team retire and we have emerged later, re-established from a stage of transition.

Thought someone had burnt a wheelchair when I read the title!

Mens cricket has an ashes series. That's it.

I think if it’s a selling point to call it an Ashes series they should use it.

England completed the 2-0 series win with a 58-20 victory over Australia. Well done all.

Blimey, if the Kangaroos have been trying to dodge playing us despite winning most of the time, the wheelchair equivalent at least would have had an excuse.

Could they fall foul of the Trades Description Act ?

As a cricket follower I have always thought it wrong for others to use the term of "Ashes" just because it is a contest between England and Australia ... even for Rugby League.

The term was also used at RL when Great Britain played Australia yet what connection do Scotland Ireland and Wales have with the Ashes ?  None !

I reckon you’re overthinking it to be honest.

Cant see any harm done myself.

If it creates more interest they should use it.

How about calling games between any of the "European" Super League teams versus the "North American" Super League team Ryder Cup matches just to create more interest?

What has appropriating a name from golf got to do with being interesting? :kolobok_wink:

The same as appropriating a name from cricket ... according to Gerremonsideref

Imagine being such a barbarian that you don't enjoy five day tests - even some Australians appreciate it!

Oh, look at the little bit of sexism there too. Women’s Ashes since the 1930s. It’s not a modern invention, dear.

But, anyway, wheelchair RL is fantastic and beating the Aussies is always a good feeling.

It's a shameless bandwagon jumping cheap copy whatever the date, whatever the sport, whatever the gender.

No, not sexism ... a true statement. Just what was grungy to provide your Women's Ashes ?
