NBA Basketball Season 2019/20

Recommended Posts

The new NBA basketball season just got underway.

Quite an interesting off season with many of the big name players in the league ending up at new teams - often joining forces with another superstar in a display of player power.

The Western Conference looks loaded with the LA Clippers, LA Lakers and Houston Rockets making strengthening moves to make a run at the championship.  There’s also last year’s college superstar Zion Williamson at the New Orleans Pelicans.  It’s going to be tough to get in the playoffs - even for the normally all conquering Golden State Warriors.

In the East, the Philadelphia 76ers, Brooklyn Nets and the Milwaukee Bucks have either strengthened or at least held onto their key players.  The big losers are the Toronto Raptors and Boston Celtics in terms of losing talent.

Season has reached the halfway point and the traditional NBA All Star game between the top ballers in the East and West is upon us very shortly.

Sky has the rights this year to the NBA and is screening a decent amount of the action although I’m struggling to nail the showing of the weekly highlights show which shows the best of the dunks and 3’s etc

Tonight to celebrate Martin Luther King Day there’s a live show on Sky Sports Mix cutting to the action as it happens from about a dozen games - it’s a bit like NFL Redzone.
