We need to be a whole lot better ... they need to be a whole lot better . So I don’t know , home advantage may be decisive with not much between the sides

It's too easy to forget home advantage in places like this.

Being a insomniac I might watch it live but will record it in case I can get a descent night's sleep, I expect the Kiwis to win despite how inept they were last time out. Never overestimate GB/England as I have learned over many years of defeats to Southern Hemisphere sides?

Squad is as expected given injury and performance in the Tonga game. Probably the best NZ squad we’ve faced in a while too. Should make for a good game.

Are there any highlights for this at a normal time?

The BBC1 highlights programme is over an hour long, but the full match should be on iPlayer by the time normal folks get out of bed anyway.

Think moving Lomax in for Coote is sensible. Coote works well at St Helens as he takes more responsibility for organising and kicking. GB already have Widdop and Hastings to fulfil that role, so having more of a runner at full back is sensible.

Lomax hasn't played regularly at full back since 2017, so that is a risk, but when he has been asked to slot in before he has done so seamlessly.  Hardaker could come in at full back, but is tied in at centre due to the lack of specialists.

Pleased that Daryl Clarke is in on the bench too, who offers a different option to Hodgson.
