But this was years ago and finding owt on Google on this is difficult, so it's up to you if you believe this change in approach was due to the clubs or simply that the RFL/SLE decided that people didnt want to see Saints v Wigan, just a they have decided the same about the Hull derby, completely without influence.

Whoever has put this together regardless of whether it is SL or the RFL are idiots! The original concept was good but when they put together games of this calibre it is awful. There should be an extra incentive for players, what more than playing your rivals in a local derby?
